Mind Over Machines Announces Equity Investment
in Salar, Inc. BALTIMORE, MD - September 20, 2004 - ind Over Machines, Inc., an information technology solutions provider to government and commercial accounts, announced today that it has closed on a minority equity investment in Salar, Inc., a developer of mobile software solutions for the healthcare industry. Salar's products automate key transactions for clinical documentation, hospital billing and performance improvement, and physician billing-- ultimately improving the quality of care and patient safety conditions. The investment represents the first of its kind for Mind Over Machines and underscores the Company's strategic focus in the healthcare marketplace. As part of the financial transaction, Mind Over Machines entered into a joint marketing agreement to promote the Salar product suite as part of its custom software solution offering to corporate and government accounts. Compliance+TM is a tablet PC-based product that dramatically improves both hospital and physician top-line revenues by capturing handwritten doctor's notes at the point of care and automatically linking them to the provider's onsite billing system. TAPTM allows healthcare providers to access and update patient charge information at the point of care via personal digital assistants (PDAs) and the Web, saving time and reducing administrative tasks for physicians. "Our decision to invest in Salar and enter a formal strategic alliance underscores our interest in expanding our presence in the healthcare marketplace," said Ron Monford, President and CEO, Mind Over Machines. "The addition of the Salar products to the Company's solution set provides us with increased leverage to meet the growing information technology needs that are transforming this important market.
