User Research observes users in the actual environment where they use a product.
User Research helps our UXD team design successful new products by understanding
what job your users really need the product to accomplish. It helps us improve
existing products by understanding how well those products perform
in real workplace situations.
In addition, our research often identifies unspoken requirements and problems – particularly those that users aren't immediately aware of. Mind Over Machines' user research methods examine:
- Demographic data
- Workflow and task-flow information
- Surrounding technical environment; where
and how the user experience will occur
- Expectations based on comparable experiences
- Critical features people consider useful
- Attitudes toward technology and product features
